On Wednesday or Thursday evening after the attack on the United States of America there was rain over New York and then very early Friday morning Tropical Storm Gabrielle’s center past over the Gulf Coast of Florida – leaving behind a great amount of rain.  Because of the rain over both New York and Florida shortly after the attack the following was written.  We are all the children of God.

The Tears of an Angel

By Bob Parrish (c)

I heard a very loud explosion followed by the children’s cries

I looked and saw such a sight a tear came to my eye

Then I wept

Such a horrendous cloud of dust over the children was swept

This horrid event on the children should not beset

Then I wept

I looked and saw one come to help and then many to help

Then screams and cries of fear and pain I felt

Then I wept

I looked and saw another explosion, a second plane

All my children covered by unjust pain

Then I wept

Those coming to so many children’s aid again

Are now in the same unjust pain

Then I wept

I looked and saw another fly into the building of the military

And I knew  - more pain would not be momentary

Then I wept

Then I saw – yet another plane number four

All this brought so much horror more

Then I wept

Then came more cries – this time for death, no help to gain

Death came on a welcome mat of pain

Then I wept

These are the children – all of one Father in the dust of pain

So many cries for help coming again

Then I wept

These are the children – all of one Father flying horror planes

Why do this in the Father’s name

Then I wept

Please remember this rule – regardless of your worship place

Love one another and Keep all the children safe

Then I wept

Our Father’s wish - Place love above all for evermore

Do not cause pain, or hurt one another evermore

So ---  that I must weep no more
