How To Use This Site ~ How To Use Internet Explorer©

Preface ~ What this idea is about

   Dear Client:

Introduction

Here are the answers to some  frequently asked questions.  This should help you with the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer©, or any browser using similar methods.

Table of Contents

  1. How do I Resize the different sections, or the eintire window ?

  2. Where can I find my topic ?

  3. Where Can I Find Adobe© Acrobat Reader ?

  4. Reserved ... ?

  5. Reserved ... ?

  6. Reserved ... ?

How do I Resize the different sections, or the entire window ?

Notice the introduction screen layout.

The left side of the screen has a "Contents" section.  Notice the vertical bar dividing the Contents from the section with the topic.  The Contents can be made either wider or more narrow by using the mouse, allowing the mouse pointer to hover over the vertical dividing bar until you can see a double-head arrow pointing left-right.  When the double-head arrow is visible, using the left mouse button hold the left mouse button depressed and move the mouse left or right to make the Contents either more narrow or wider to suit your needs.

This web site is using a new model template for all page topics as shown below.  This method to drag the size of the Contents will work with the new model as well as any of the other models not converted to the new layout.

The new layout model has a contents on the left of the topic page.  There is do dividing bar within the topic page and therefore not method to make the specific topic contents resizable.  HOWEVER, the vertical bar dividing the main table of contents can be resized by dragging the vertical to either the right or the left.

Another Hint

If you prefer to read the topic in a full screen view, without the contents appeaing, there is a simple method to accomplish the task.  When you find the topic you want to learn about instead of using the left-click with the mouse to read the topic ~ use the right-click and select OPEN IN NEW WINDOW to read the topic.  When you have completed the topic, then close the topic window and return to the pro1040© home page.

Where can I find my topic ?

Look along the left side of the first page for pro1040©.  Find the Word "Contents".  This is a Table of Contents.  Using your mouse, point to the word "contents" and click on it using your left mouse button.  This will expand the "Contents" so that you can read each topic.

Table of Contents

The table of contents is on the main page of this site.  Notice there are sever Main Topics

Some of the topics are underlined - notice that if you allow the mouse pointer to hover over these text lines, the mouse pointer will change shape - this indicates you may left-click the mouse and immediately view this underlined item.  Notice there are topics (text) that is not underlined, however has a symbol preceding the text.  Place the mouse pointer anywhere in the text, left click and the item will expand ~ left click that same text line one more time and the item will collapse.  Using this method you can expand or collapse the topics to find what you want.

Search Page

"SEARCH THIS SITE" will provide a method for you to type in topics or keywords.  The site will be searched for your keywords and will display the pages containing those words.

Site Map

"SITE MAP" will provide a complete listing of all the pages in a form similar to an index.  Use this to look up your topic and see the various pages with content that is related to the subject.

REMINDER: You may use the right-click method on any underlined text which is a link to open the page in a new window.  The "new window" approach will provide a full screen view of the specific topic you have selected.  Remember to close the new window and return to the page you performed the rt-click from.

Where Can I Find Adobe Acrobat Reader ... ?

The freely available Adobe Acrobat reader is required to view and print PDF files.

IF you do not have this program simply click on the "freely available" link or copy and paste the address into your www browsers address bar ---  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html

Notice that the FREE download is in the first adobe icon to download - do not fall for their ploy to make you buy a copy on the two items to the right - the reader is free from adobe and is perfectly legal
