Note:

There will be a high probability files must be transferred from the old computer (the one being replaced) to the new computer.

To accomplish the task of moving files, it is much better to leave the new computer AND the old computer in the network together.  If both can be left in the LAN, then one may copy files from the old computer to the new computer.

Be certain the LAN connections to your Hub, switch or router al connected properly.

The process of transferring files will be accomplished by referring to the lists you have made.  Those lists of applications, and files the operator of the computer being replaced requires.

The replacement computer may already have many of the applications required installed - the probability is it will not have all of those applications.
